JBL Professional introduced the LSR2300, a new line of studio monitors designed for computer-based music production systems.

The LSR2300 Series includes three models: the Bi-Amplified 8-inch Studio Monitor with 160 Watts of amplification; the LSR2325P Bi-Amplified 5-inch Studio Monitor with 85 Watts of amplification; and the LSR2310SP Powered 10-inch Studio Subwoofer with an integrated 180 Watt power amplifier.

Even though the LSR2300 is on the low-end of the company's monitoring systems, JBL says they applied the same high criteria when building the monitors. For example, JBL says that most manufacturers take a single on-axis measurement of the speaker's performance, while they take 70 measurements.

Each model features balanced XLR, 1/4-inch, and unbalanced RCA inputs that allows connection to a wide range of playback sources including computer audio workstations, professional mixing consoles, as well as consumer playback systems.

The monitors will be available in March. Pricing was not announced.
